Joining Hands for Justice is a subcommittee of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta and an initiative of the Presbyterian Hunger program that "aims at restoring the wholeness of God's creation and the healing of the human family across faiths, races and cultures through prayer, mutual visits, humble accompaniment, repentance and mutual transformation."
Joining Hands for Justice is sponsoring a trip to Palestine/Israel February 20-March 3,2011. Participants will meet with groups such as Wi'am Conflict Resolution Center, the Palestinian Working Women's Society, and Bethlehem Bible College. In addtion to floating on the Dead Sea and getting a first-hand look at the River Jordan, the group will visit Jerusalem's historic Old City, the Galilee area, the Garden of Gethsemane, and more. The group will also get an upclose look at the Separation Wall and visit an Israeli settlement.
