Taking Requests
Summer Sermon Series will be based on your suggestions

This summer the clergy staff will offer a sermon series on topics requested by members of the congregation. It is a sort of “everything you wanted to hear a sermon about and were afraid to ask” experiment. You may request a sermon on a particular biblical text, on a theological issue or doctrine, or simply a question that has been bothering you. Requests should be sumbitted to Nancy Kirby in writing, by e-mail, or by phone. The deadline is Thursday, May 15. Once collected, a schdule of sermon titles and dates will be printed and distributed.

Trip to Washington, D.C.

Register now for September 22-27 trip

A Trinity Senior Adult trip to Washington, D.C., is being planned for September 22-27, 2008. Our nation’s capital offers an abundance of beautiful and interesting things to see and do, from Capitol Hill to the White House, numerous memorials and museums, intriguing neighborhoods, churches, theaters, parks and gardens, as well as the surrounding areas of Arlington and Mount Vernon. Final details are being worked out, but the week will include a tour of the White House and the diplomatic reception rooms at the State Department. Other highlights include an outstanding exhibit at the Corcoran Museum – “Richard Avedon: Portraits of Power”, visits to the World War II and FDR memorials; Hillwood, home and gardens of Marjorie Meriwether Post, as well as The National Cathedral and New York Avenue Presbyterian Church. Patti Gambrell who planned our successful Brandywine Valley and Hudson River Valley trips will again be our travel agent and will have available a brochure describing the trip and outlining security procedures for visiting sites in the D.C. area. For more information, call Bettye Sue Wright at 404-495-8438.
