Young People's Concert

An Opportunity for Serious Young Music Students to Perform
Sunday, February 22
12:15 p.m. • Dobbs Chapel

The nurturing of young musical talent has always been a hallmark of the Trinity Church music program. Begun in 1998 by Norman Mackenzie, Karen Tsinikas, and the Fine Arts Committee, the Young People’s Concert is an annual event designed to showcase the talents of Trinity’s budding musicians, ages 8-18. A wide array of musical instruments and disciplines has been represented over the years, including pianists, vocalists, harpists, string and wind players, and jazz musicians, to name just a few.

Always a popular event, the concert encapsulates the philosophy of music and the arts at Trinity: that the church has been, historically, and should be, currently, a shining example of the finest in artistic endeavor and a home for creativity.

The eighth annual Young People’s Concert will be held in Dobbs Chapel on Sunday, February 22, following the 11 a.m. worship service. Young people, aged 8-18, who are interested in playing or singing in this 45-minute program are encouraged to participate. The deadline for applying is February 13th. Registration forms are available on the website www.trinityatlanta.org, as well as in the church office. For more information contact Patti Heinz at 404-495-8447 or pheinz@trinityatlanta.org.

This has proven to be a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for performers and concertgoers alike. You are encouraged to sign up and participate, or come and enjoy the concert!
