Youth Ministries

The Youth Ministry calls young people as disciples of Jesus Christ, to respond to the needs and interest of young people; to work together with adults in partnership; to be connected to the whole church, community, and world; and to include all young people, reaching out and inviting them to belong to the community of faith.

Sixth Grade

Walk With Me
Room D214

“Biblical” and “Reformed” describe the lens through which this series focuses on both scripture and life. The curriculum takes the Bible’s teachings seriously and helps make the Reformed faith come alive. In the fall the class will be looking at tough choices, Bible readings, and building relationships.

Seventh and Eighth Grades

Confirmation Class (Professing Our Faith, We Believe)
Room D201

Confirmation is the time set aside for youth to 1) explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, and 2) learn how that commitment can be expressed through active membership in the church. During Confirmation class, youth are given the opportunity to study the basics of the Christian life and faith, with emphasis on Bible study and prayer, and discussion of issues / questions of faith, culminating in a written statement of faith. Basic aspects of our Presbyterian denomination and theology will also be explored. Confirmation Sunday is May 11.

Senior High (9th -12TH Grades)

Thoughtful Christian, Faithful Living in a Complex World
Room D223

Church school should be timely and stimulate our thoughts about Christian values and how they relate to today’s world. The thoughtful Christian is designed to attract and keep participants’ attention. These studies encourage class members to share their thoughts and beliefs while wrestling with questions that inform the way we live out our faith in everyday life. The class may be divided into two groups of 9th-/10th-graders and 11th-/12th-graders, depending on class size.
